Custom DTF Printing Serving Miami, FL

DTF (direct-to-film) printing serves the Miami orders that need full-color art on mixed garment types, dark fabrics, or performance materials: Wynwood pop-up brand kits where the same design goes on cotton tees, hoodies, and caps in one order, Brickell corporate mixed apparel where staff shirts and executive polos need the same logo, film production department color-coded gear across different fabric types, and South Beach hospitality staff uniforms on performance polyester where screen printing and DTG don't adhere. DTF wins on mixed-garment orders, dark fabrics, and any fabric type.

Our delivery routes reach Wynwood, Brickell, Downtown and Miami Beach daily. DTF has no minimums and no setup fees — one shirt or one hundred, same process. For mixed-garment brand kits and hospitality uniform programs, DTF is typically the most practical method.

What Is DTF Printing?

DTF (direct-to-film) printing prints your design onto a special film, applies a hot-melt adhesive powder, cures it, then heat-presses the transfer onto the garment. Works on any fabric type — cotton, polyester, nylon, blends, performance mesh. No pre-treatment required. No minimums. Full-color in a single transfer.

How the DTF Process Works

Design printed onto PET film using water-based inks. Hot-melt adhesive powder applied and cured. Transfer sheet ready. Garment loaded into heat press at ~320°F for 15–20 seconds. Film peeled hot or cold depending on transfer type. Full-color, wash-durable result on any fabric.

DTF vs Screen Printing

Screen printing wins on 25+ pieces of the same design on the same garment type, per-shirt cost at volume, and color intensity. DTF wins under 40–50 pieces, mixed-garment orders, and any fabric type.

DTF vs DTG

DTG wins on white/light cotton garments with photographic art and true single-piece orders. DTF wins on dark garments, mixed fabric types, performance polyester, and mixed-garment orders.

DTF vs Embroidery

Embroidery wins on polos, structured caps, jackets, and high-friction wear where a stitched logo is required. DTF wins on t-shirts, hoodies, and any garment where the design is too detailed or large for embroidery.

DTF Printing for Miami Customers

Miami's brand-driven creative economy generates a steady stream of mixed-garment and dark-fabric DTF orders. Wynwood pop-up brands, Brickell corporate mixed apparel programs, film production gear, and South Beach hospitality uniforms are the four categories that dominate our Miami DTF volume — all sharing the same profile: mixed garment types, full-color art, and fabric types that screen printing and DTG can't handle.

Wynwood Pop-Up Brands & Brand Kits

Wynwood pop-up brands, gallery-district labels, and creative agencies running brand activations at Wynwood Walls often need a complete brand kit: the same logo or design on cotton tees, hoodies, caps, and tote bags in one order. DTF handles mixed-garment orders in a single production run — no separate screen setups for each garment type, no minimums per style.

Brickell Corporate Mixed Apparel

Brickell corporate apparel programs often mix garment types: staff t-shirts plus executive polos plus branded hoodies, all with the same logo. DTF handles the mixed-garment corporate program in one order — same design, different garments, different fabric types, all produced together. For corporate accounts that reorder seasonally, we keep the transfer artwork on file.

Film Production & South Beach Hospitality

Film production department gear often mixes fabric types — cotton crew tees plus performance polyester department jackets plus nylon crew bags. DTF handles all fabric types in a single order. South Beach hospitality staff uniforms on performance polyester (moisture-wicking shirts, athletic-fit polos) are natural DTF territory — screen printing and DTG don't adhere reliably to high-polyester fabrics.

What We Can DTF Print

DTF works on virtually any fabric type: 100% cotton, polyester, nylon, blends, performance mesh, tri-blend, fleece, denim. Best garments: t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, polos, athletic wear, nylon jackets, tote bags, caps (flat-brim and unstructured). Also works on: aprons, bags, accessories. Not ideal: structured caps with high crown (embroidery is better for those).

Colors: Unlimited — full-color photographic art, gradients, and fine detail all print in a single transfer. No color limits, no per-color pricing.

Print sizes: Full-front up to 12" · Full-back up to 14"×16" · Left-chest up to 4" · Oversized prints and gang-sheet transfers available.

Dark vs light garments: DTF prints equally well on dark and light garments — no pre-treatment required, no white base layer visible on light fabrics.

Pricing, Quantities & Turnaround for Miami

DTF has no setup fees and no minimum quantities. Per-shirt cost is comparable to DTG at small quantities and competitive with screen printing under 40–50 pieces. For mixed-garment orders, DTF is usually the most cost-effective method regardless of quantity — one transfer file covers all garment types.

Standard turnaround. 2–4 business days from artwork approval for most DTF orders. Rush turnaround available for film production and event orders.

Delivery to Miami. Daily delivery routes to Wynwood, Brickell, Downtown, and Miami Beach. For film production: delivery to the production base by appointment. For South Beach hospitality: delivery to the venue by appointment. Free pickup at 389 NE 2nd Ave, Monday–Friday 9:30 AM–5:30 PM.

FAQ

DTF Printing in Miami — frequently asked questions

What fabrics can you print with DTF?

Virtually any fabric: 100% cotton, polyester, tri-blend, moisture-wicking performance fabric, ripstop workwear, canvas, denim, and headwear panels. Both dark and light garments print equally well — the white underbase in the transfer keeps colors bright on black garments just as on white.

Is there a minimum order for DTF printing?

No minimum. One shirt or five hundred — same process, same quality. DTF is specifically suited to small runs and mixed-garment orders where screen printing setup would cost too much.

How does DTF compare to screen printing?

Screen printing wins on 50+ pieces of the same design on the same garment — cheaper per shirt and slightly more durable at the extreme end of the wash curve. DTF wins on everything else: orders under 40–50 pieces, multi-color and photographic art, mixed-garment orders (shirts + hoodies + caps in one run), and any fabric that isn't ideal for screen printing.

How does DTF compare to DTG?

DTG prints ink directly into cotton fibers and produces a softer, more natural feel on 100% cotton light garments. DTF wins on fabric versatility (any fabric, any color), on mixed-garment orders, and on price above 10–15 pieces. When a customer isn't sure, we quote both and recommend based on the specific garment, design, quantity, and deadline.

Can I get DTF printing same-day in Miami?

Yes, often. For orders under 25 pieces, drop off print-ready artwork at 389 NE 2nd Ave by noon on a weekday and same-day pickup by 5:30 PM is realistic on standard garments we stock. Call ahead if the deadline is tight — some days the press is backed up and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit your cutoff.

What's the difference between DTF and UV DTF?

Standard DTF (this page) is for fabric garments — shirts, hoodies, caps, workwear. UV DTF is a different process for rigid hard substrates: phone cases, tumblers, water bottles, wood signage, and hard-surface promo items. We offer both; see our UV DTF page for hard-substrate orders.
