What DTG printing is, when it makes sense, and how we print your Hollywood order in-house with DTF, UV DTF or embroidery instead. Local pickup, ready in 1-10 days depending on order size.

DTG Printing in Hollywood, FL, Explained
DTG (direct-to-garment) is what many Hollywood buyers have in mind when an order is small, full-color or last-minute: galleries around Young Circle ordering one-off event apparel, restaurants down Hollywood Boulevard needing a single owner's-name shirt or a small run of staff tees, Downtown Hollywood boutiques doing pop-up staff apparel for a weekend activation, and one-off Broadwalk hospitality pieces for VIP guests. Adorb doesn't run DTG printers. We print DTF transfers for those orders in full color, with no minimum and no color limit.
Our shop is nine minutes south of Hollywood on Federal Highway, and pickup is free. Most orders are ready in 1 to 10 days, depending on order size, and same-day options may be available on rush orders. Larger orders can be delivered to Hollywood addresses in 33019, 33020, 33021 and 33024.
What Is DTG Printing?
Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing works like an inkjet printer for shirts: specialized water-based ink sprays directly into the fibers of the garment through a fixed printhead, producing a soft, full-color image with photograph-level detail. Because there is no screen setup and no color-count limit, DTG is uniquely suited to single-piece orders, personalization, and complex artwork that would be uneconomical to screen print.
How the DTG Process Works
The garment is pretreated with a bonding solution that helps the ink adhere to the cotton fibers and improves color vibrancy on dark garments. The shirt is loaded flat onto a platen that holds it taut and at the correct height under the printhead. On light garments, the printhead makes a single CMYK pass. On dark garments, a white underbase pass runs first, then the color pass runs on top. The finished garment moves through a heat tunnel at 330°F, curing the ink into the fibers. Care is simple: wash inside-out in cold water and tumble-dry low.
DTG vs screen printing
Screen printing suits large runs of the same design, where the setup for each color is spread across many shirts, and its thick ink is known for long wear. DTG suits small runs, full-color and photographic art, and personalization, with different names or numbers on each shirt. Adorb runs neither; for those jobs we print DTF.
DTG vs DTF
DTF (direct-to-film) transfers a printed film to the garment via heat press rather than printing directly into the fibers. It is how we print full-color shirts in-house, and it works on cotton, polyester, tri-blends, dark performance wear and mixed-garment orders. DTG gives the softest hand-feel on light cotton because the ink sits in the fibers, while a DTF transfer is a thin film that bonds to almost any fabric.
When DTG Is the Right Choice
DTG suits single-shirt orders and personalized pieces (different names, numbers or images on each shirt), full-color and photographic art, and 100% cotton light-colored garments where the softest hand-feel matters. It is a poor fit for large runs of the same design, dark polyester, tri-blend or moisture-wicking fabrics, and very large full-back prints. We don't run DTG; for those jobs, and for the full-color and personalized ones too, we print DTF.

Get My PrintingWho Orders DTG Printing in Hollywood
Adorb doesn't run DTG printers, but in Hollywood DTG is usually asked about by three groups: Downtown Hollywood and Young Circle event and gallery customers, Hollywood Boulevard restaurants and boutique retail, and Broadwalk hospitality. Our shop is nine minutes south of Hollywood on Federal Highway. Here is what those orders look like, and how we print them with DTF.
Downtown Hollywood, Young Circle & Gallery Openings
Downtown Hollywood's ArtsPark event calendar and the gallery openings around Harrison Street bring small-run, full-color orders where the design is often photographic, layered or artist-specific. Gallery openings want artist-headshot tees for staff, ArtsPark events want small runs of themed apparel for volunteers, and the Young Circle bar scene wants one-off event tees for milestone parties. DTF prints that detail in full color with no minimum.
Because these orders are usually tied to an event date, tell us the date up front and we will say plainly whether it fits. Most orders are ready in 1 to 10 days, depending on order size, and same-day options may be available on rush orders. Pickup at our shop is free, and larger orders can be delivered to the venue.
Hollywood Boulevard Restaurants & Boutique Retail
Hollywood Boulevard's restaurant and retail corridor brings one-off and small-run orders year-round: a restaurant owner's personal branded tee, a boutique's pop-up staff apparel for a weekend activation, a bar's event-night staff shirts. These orders are usually small and often photographic or multi-color. We print them with DTF, with no minimum.
Broadwalk Hospitality & VIP Guest Pieces
Hotel concierges and event coordinators along Hollywood Beach Broadwalk periodically need one-off or small-run personalized pieces for VIP guests, staff recognition or property events. DTF handles these without a minimum: one shirt with a guest's name and a property logo, or ten shirts for a VIP group event.
What Can Be DTG Printed
DTG has a narrower ideal-fabric window than DTF, but within that window it produces a very soft, natural-feeling print. DTF, which we print, covers the fabrics DTG can't.
Fabrics & Garments
DTG suits: 100% cotton, ringspun cotton, cotton-heavy blends, light colors. Also works well: 50/50 blends on light colors, tri-blend on light colors, cotton hoodies and sweatshirts, tote bags, cotton aprons.
Works but not ideal: dark cotton (requires white underbase), polyester-heavy blends, dark colored cotton in fine detail. Not recommended: 100% polyester, moisture-wicking, nylon, dark tri-blend, structured caps, waterproof materials. DTF, which we print, and our embroidery cover those garments.
Color & Sizes
DTG prints full CMYK color, so photographic art, gradients and fine detail reproduce well, and Pantone matching is approximate (CMYK-mixed, not spot ink). Personalization is natural with DTG and with the DTF transfers we print: each shirt in an order can carry a different name, number or image.
Print sizes: tell us the size you have in mind for the chest, full front, full back or sleeve, and we will confirm what fits the garment before you approve the proof.
Pricing & Turnaround in Hollywood
DTG needs no screen setup, which is why it suits small orders better than large runs. DTF needs none either, so there is no minimum with the DTF we print: one shirt is a normal order. Send your design and quantity for a quote, usually the same day.
Turnaround
Standard: Most orders are ready in 1 to 10 days, depending on order size, and the clock starts when you approve the proof.
Rush & same-day: Same-day options may be available on rush orders. Tell us your event date when you ask for the quote and we will say plainly whether it fits; our shop is nine minutes south of Hollywood on Federal Highway.
Local delivery to Hollywood: Larger orders can be delivered to 33019, 33020, 33021 and 33024, and pickup at the shop is free. For time-sensitive Hollywood orders, call rather than email and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit your date.
How to Order Your Printing in Hollywood
- 1
Prepare Your Artwork
Send the best-quality artwork you have: vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) or a high-resolution PNG are ideal, and for photographic art (memorial, family reunion, gallery event shirts) the highest resolution you have is best. If the artwork needs cleaning up before it prints well, that is part of the job.
- 2
Get a Quote
Send your artwork, garment type, quantity and any deadline. A quote comes back usually the same day. No charge, no obligation.
- 3
Approve the Proof
A digital mock-up shows your design at scale on the actual garment color. Approve it, request revisions or ask questions. For personalized orders (different names or numbers on each shirt), check every name and number on the proof, because nothing is printed until you approve it.
- 4
Production
Your design is printed as DTF transfers and heat-pressed onto the garments in-house at our Hallandale Beach shop. Most orders are ready in 1 to 10 days, depending on order size, and personalized runs where each piece is different are printed individually so every name lands right. We let you know when your order is ready.

DTG Printing in Hollywood — frequently asked questions
What is DTG printing?
DTG, short for direct-to-garment, prints the design straight onto the fabric with an inkjet printer built for garments. It works best on cotton and prints full color with no screens. On dark shirts the fabric is usually pre-treated first so a white base layer can hold.
Does Adorb do DTG printing?
No. Adorb doesn't run DTG printers. For the same full-color result we print DTF transfers at our shop at 389 NE 2nd Ave in Hollywood, and DTF works on cotton, polyester and blends.
Can I order a single shirt?
Yes. There is no minimum: we print one shirt or a large run with DTF, and every shirt in the order can be different.
How does DTG compare with DTF?
Both print full-color artwork, photos and gradients without screens. DTG prints into the fibers and is best on cotton. DTF prints the design onto a film that is then applied to the garment with heat, so it also works on polyester and blends. Adorb prints DTF.
Can you print shirts for hotel guests or vacation events?
Yes. Hotels, resorts and vacation rentals along the beach often want welcome shirts or event pieces in small numbers, sometimes a single gift. DTF prints full-color artwork on small runs with no minimum, and pickup at our shop in Hollywood is free.
Can you print family reunion shirts in other languages?
Yes. Designs in Spanish, Portuguese, Creole, Hebrew or any other language print the same way, because DTF prints the artwork exactly as you send it. Each family member's shirt can carry a different name in the same order.
