Custom DTF Printing Serving Hollywood, FL

DTF handles the mixed-garment orders that come out of Hollywood most often — the Broadwalk restaurant that wants staff tees plus front-of-house polos plus kitchen hoodies for the same season, the ArtsPark event that needs different apparel tiers for volunteers and headliners, the Seminole Hard Rock catering brief that spans tri-blend crew shirts and moisture-wicking service polos, the Hollywood Boulevard boutique doing a promo apparel line with different fabrics for different price tiers. Because the DTF transfer applies to virtually any fabric, we press cotton, polyester blends, tri-blend, ripstop workwear, and headwear from a single production run.

Delivery to the 33019, 33020, 33021 and 33024 runs from our Hallandale Beach shop nine minutes north on Federal Highway. Free delivery on 50+ pieces, or free pickup at 389 NE 2nd Ave for smaller orders. Same-day is realistic on standard DTF orders when the artwork is print-ready.

The Process

What Is DTF Printing?

Direct-to-film (DTF) printing produces a full-color, high-durability image on a special film that is then heat-pressed onto the finished garment. Because the design is printed on film before it touches the fabric, DTF is not limited by the garment's color, texture or fiber content — the same transfer applies just as cleanly to a white cotton tee as to a black polyester hoodie or a canvas tote.

How the DTF Process Works

Your artwork is printed in full CMYK plus a white underbase onto a specialty PET film. While the ink is wet, a thermoplastic adhesive powder is applied to the print, then cured under heat. The result is a heat-transferable image ready to press onto any garment.

At the press step, we align the transfer onto the finished garment, apply heat (around 305°F) and pressure for about 15 seconds, cool the transfer, and peel the carrier film away. The image bonds directly to the fabric — soft to the touch, stretchable with the fabric, and washable up to 50+ cycles when cared for correctly.

Because we also operate SoFLo DTF, our sister DTF-supply business in South Florida, we control our own transfer film and adhesive-powder sourcing rather than depending on third-party wholesalers. That means fresher transfers, tighter quality control, and pricing that reflects wholesale-plus-application rather than reseller markup.

Because production separates printing from application, DTF is the fastest method to handle small runs across many garment types: we print the transfers, then press onto whatever mix of blanks the order calls for.

DTF vs Screen Printing

Screen printing wins on quantity and long-term wash durability at 50+ pieces of the same design. DTF wins under 40–50 pieces (no setup fee, no color-count surcharge), on multi-color/photographic art, and on mixed-garment orders where the same design has to work on cotton, poly, tri-blend, and headwear. Screen printing beats DTF on ultra-high-volume identical-design work.

DTF vs DTG Printing

DTG prints ink directly into cotton fibers — softest hand-feel. DTG wins on 100% cotton light-colored garments in single-piece orders. DTF wins when the garment isn't ideal for DTG (dark polyester, tri-blend, technical wear, non-cotton, textured fabrics), on mixed-fabric orders, and on price above about 10–15 pieces.

Who We Print For

DTF Printing for Hollywood Businesses

Because our shop is nine minutes north of Hollywood, DTF serves the customers whose orders can't be solved by any single fabric or method. Three groups dominate our Hollywood DTF volume: Broadwalk and beachfront restaurants doing mixed staff-apparel orders, Seminole Hard Rock event and hospitality production spanning multiple garment types, and ArtsPark/Young Circle event apparel where volunteers, staff and guests each need different apparel tiers.

Broadwalk Restaurants & Mixed Hospitality Orders

Restaurants along Hollywood Beach Broadwalk and the beachfront hospitality corridor typically need three or four garment types per staff refresh: front-of-house polos in a moisture-wicking blend, kitchen tees in cotton, event or promo caps for seasonal specials, and sometimes lightweight hoodies for cooler evening service. DTF prints identical logos across all four garment types in a single production run — same day, same equipment, same quality standard.

Beach-side hospitality customers (spa, valet, catering crews at the Marriott corridor properties, the Diplomat, boutique beachfront hotels) use DTF specifically because their garment mix varies seasonally — cotton in winter, moisture-wicking in summer, structured jackets for events. We keep artwork on file and turn seasonal refreshes in 3–5 business days. Delivery to Broadwalk properties runs twice a week; ad-hoc delivery for urgent orders coordinated by appointment.

What garments can you print DTF on?

Virtually any fabric: cotton, polyester, blends, tri-blend, ringspun, ripstop workwear, canvas, denim, and headwear. Both dark and light garments print equally well.

How long do DTF prints last through washing?

Properly applied DTF prints hold up through 50+ wash cycles when garments are washed inside-out on cold and tumble-dried low. Do not iron directly over the print — iron the reverse side.

What's the minimum order for DTF?

There is no minimum. Order one shirt or four hundred. No setup fee, no color-count surcharge.

How does DTF pricing scale with quantity?

No setup fee, no color-count surcharge. Send exact quantity and garment specs for a real quote.

Can you handle a mixed-garment DTF order for a Broadwalk restaurant or Hollywood event?

Yes — mixed-fabric, mixed-garment orders are exactly what DTF is built for, and they're a regular part of our Hollywood work. Broadwalk restaurants ordering staff tees plus polos plus kitchen hoodies from a single design, ArtsPark event apparel across volunteer and speaker tiers, and Seminole Hard Rock catering briefs all run through DTF. FAQ

DTF Printing in Hollywood — frequently asked questions

What fabrics can you print with DTF?

Virtually any fabric: 100% cotton, polyester, tri-blend, moisture-wicking performance fabric, ripstop workwear, canvas, denim, and headwear panels. Both dark and light garments print equally well — the white underbase in the transfer keeps colors bright on black garments just as on white.

Is there a minimum order for DTF printing?

No minimum. One shirt or five hundred — same process, same quality. DTF is specifically suited to small runs and mixed-garment orders where screen printing setup would cost too much.

How does DTF compare to screen printing?

Screen printing wins on 50+ pieces of the same design on the same garment — cheaper per shirt and slightly more durable at the extreme end of the wash curve. DTF wins on everything else: orders under 40–50 pieces, multi-color and photographic art, mixed-garment orders (shirts + hoodies + caps in one run), and any fabric that isn't ideal for screen printing.

How does DTF compare to DTG?

DTG prints ink directly into cotton fibers and produces a softer, more natural feel on 100% cotton light garments. DTF wins on fabric versatility (any fabric, any color), on mixed-garment orders, and on price above 10–15 pieces. When a customer isn't sure, we quote both and recommend based on the specific garment, design, quantity, and deadline.

Can I get DTF printing same-day in Hollywood?

Yes, often. For orders under 25 pieces, drop off print-ready artwork at 389 NE 2nd Ave by noon on a weekday and same-day pickup by 5:30 PM is realistic on standard garments we stock. Call ahead if the deadline is tight — some days the press is backed up and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit your cutoff.

What's the difference between DTF and UV DTF?

Standard DTF (this page) is for fabric garments — shirts, hoodies, caps, workwear. UV DTF is a different process for rigid hard substrates: phone cases, tumblers, water bottles, wood signage, and hard-surface promo items. We offer both; see our UV DTF page for hard-substrate orders.
