Custom Screen Printing Serving Hollywood, FL

Screen printing serves Hollywood customers whose orders run 25 pieces or more of the same design — the exact profile of the restaurant-staff refreshes along Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, the Downtown Hollywood event tees around Young Circle, the Seminole Hard Rock catering-crew orders that reorder monthly, and the HOA board apparel for the beachfront towers along Hollywood Beach. Above 25 shirts of the same design, screen printing pulls ahead of every other method on per-shirt price and long-term wash durability.

Delivery to Hollywood zip codes 33019, 33020, 33021 and 33024 runs from our Hallandale Beach shop, nine minutes north on Federal Highway or I-95. Free delivery on 50+ pieces; free pickup at 389 NE 2nd Ave for smaller runs. Same-day delivery is realistic on reorders where the screens are already on file — first-time orders require overnight screen preparation.

The Process

What Is Screen Printing?

Screen printing is the oldest and most-established method of applying a custom design to fabric. Ink is pushed through a fine mesh screen — one screen per color — directly onto the garment. Because the ink sits in a thick, opaque layer on the fabric, the finished print is bright, saturated, and dramatically more durable than any digital method over years of washing and wear.

How the Screen Printing Process Works

Your design is first separated into individual colors — one screen is prepared for each color, with the design "burned" into a light-sensitive emulsion coating the screen. For a 3-color logo, we prepare 3 screens.

At the press, each garment is loaded onto a platen and the screens are aligned in sequence. A squeegee pulls ink through the screen mesh, depositing a precise layer of ink onto the shirt. Each color goes down in turn, and between colors the shirt passes under a flash-cure unit to set the ink briefly so the next color doesn't smudge.

After all colors are printed, the shirt travels through a conveyor dryer at around 320°F to fully cure the ink into the fabric fibers. The result is a print that will outlast the shirt itself — properly-cured plastisol survives 100+ wash cycles without noticeable fading.

Screen Printing vs DTF

DTF (direct-to-film) transfers apply a printed film to any garment via heat press. DTF wins on quantities under 40–50 pieces (no setup fee, no color-count surcharge), on mixed-garment orders spanning different fabrics, and on complex multi-color or photographic art.

Screen printing wins everywhere else. Above 25–50 pieces of the same design on the same garment, screen printing's per-shirt price drops well below DTF and keeps dropping. On simple 1–4 color designs at any volume above 12 pieces, screen printing is usually cheaper. On long-term wash durability (100+ cycles), screen printing outperforms every other method — the ink layer sits deep in the fabric, not on top of it.

Screen Printing vs DTG

DTG (direct-to-garment) prints ink directly into the fibers of a shirt, producing a soft, natural feel. DTG wins on single-piece and small orders (1–15 pieces), full-color or photographic art on cotton light-colored garments, and rush turnaround where screen setup would be a bottleneck.

Screen printing wins on quantity (25+ pieces of the same design) and per-shirt cost at higher volumes. It also wins on color intensity — DTG's colors are dyed into cotton fibers and can look slightly muted next to screen printing's opaque ink layer on top.

Screen Printing vs Embroidery

Embroidery stitches your logo into the garment with thread rather than printing ink onto it. Embroidery wins on structured garments (polos, jackets, caps, fleece), on high-friction wear that would abrade a print, and on the premium look that corporate uniforms and hospitality apparel typically call for.

Screen printing wins on t-shirts, hoodies, athletic wear, and larger design sizes where embroidery would use too many stitches. For a full-front or full-back design larger than about 6 inches, screen printing is faster and cheaper than embroidery — usually dramatically so.

Who We Print For

Screen Printing for Hollywood Businesses

Because our shop is nine minutes north of Hollywood on Federal Highway, our Hollywood screen printing customers are ones we see in person almost every week. Three categories dominate our local Hollywood volume: Broadwalk and beachfront restaurants and hotels running staff-uniform refreshes, Downtown Hollywood and Young Circle event and retail businesses, and Seminole Hard Rock event and hospitality production. Here is what those orders actually look like.

Broadwalk & Beachfront Restaurants and Hotels

Restaurants along Hollywood Beach Broadwalk and the beachfront hospitality corridor (from the Diplomat through the Marriott corridor) typically need three garment types for their staff: front-of-house shirts in a beach-appropriate cotton blend for hosts and servers, back-of-house tees in a distinct color for kitchen crews, and event/promo apparel for grand openings, seasonal specials, and property marketing. Screen printing handles the first two categories at 25+ pieces each, cost-effectively and durably enough to survive nightly kitchen wear and daily beach sun.

Because most Broadwalk and beachfront properties reorder on a seasonal calendar, we keep the artwork and screens on file for every recurring account. Reorders are typically a phone call: sizes, quantities, delivery date. Delivery to Hollywood Beach properties is on our route two days a week, or free pickup at the shop for anyone happy to swing by nine minutes north on Federal Highway.

Downtown Hollywood, Young Circle & ArtsPark

Downtown Hollywood and Young Circle — the ArtsPark event calendar, the galleries opening around Harrison Street, the restaurants and bars along Hollywood Boulevard — all order screen-printed apparel at event-driven cadences. Order profiles skew smaller (typically 25–75 pieces per event or activation) with faster turnaround expectations and more design iteration than the seasonal hospitality refreshes.

ArtsPark event tees, restaurant staff shirts for the Downtown Hollywood corridor, boutique retail branded pieces for Hollywood Boulevard shops, and gallery-opening staff apparel — screen printing serves this category when the design is simple 1–3 colors and the print will see daily wear. For more elaborate multi-color or photographic art on Downtown Hollywood orders, we recommend DTF instead. Our shop is nine minutes north via Federal Highway or a straight shot up US-1, so pickup or delivery on the day of the event is realistic when timing lines up.

Seminole Hard Rock & Event Production

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino runs one of Hollywood's most active event and hospitality calendars — conferences and conventions in the meeting space, entertainment production at Hard Rock Live, catering operations across the property, and one-off events at the adjacent venues (Guitar Hotel, DAER, the pool complexes). Staff apparel for each of these categories is a steady piece of our Hollywood work.

Order sizes on Seminole Hard Rock work vary widely — 50 shirts for a conference catering crew, 200 for a convention exhibitor booth, 500 for a large entertainment production. Screen printing is the right method above 25 shirts, and we handle the whole range. Rush turnaround around event dates is what we're built for; we quote turnaround honestly against your event calendar and confirm feasibility before starting production. Delivery to Hard Rock's loading dock or the specific venue's staging area is standard.

What We Can Screen Print

Screen printing works best on natural and blend fabrics where the ink can bond into the fiber. Here is what actually works well, what needs a different method, and what specifications apply to your order.

👕

Garments & Fabrics

Best for: 100% cotton, cotton/poly blends, ringspun cotton, tri-blend, 100% polyester (with plastisol ink or discharge printing on light garments). Also works: canvas, denim, tote bags, cotton aprons, sweatshirts, hoodies.

Garments we screen print regularly: t-shirts, long-sleeve tees, tank tops, polo shirts (chest only), hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts, tote bags, aprons.

Not ideal: structured caps (use embroidery), nylon jackets (use DTF), heavily-textured fleece (use embroidery), performance mesh with holes (use DTF).

🎨

Color & Design Capabilities

Up to 6 spot colors per design on standard orders. Each color requires its own screen and setup, so cost climbs per color — but the print is unbeatable for durability and color intensity. Pantone matching available on request.

For photographic or gradient artwork, we recommend DTG or DTF instead.

Print sizes: Left-chest 3.5–4" · Full-front up to 12" · Full-back up to 14"×16" · Sleeve up to 3"×12" · Numbers on back up to 10" tall.

Pricing & Turnaround

Pricing, Quantities & Turnaround for Hollywood

Screen printing's setup cost (one screen per color) spreads across the order. Below 12 shirts, DTG or DTF is almost always cheaper. From 12–25 shirts, screen printing and DTF are usually within a few dollars per shirt. From 25–50 shirts, screen printing typically pulls ahead. Above 50 shirts, screen printing dominates on price — often 40–60% cheaper than DTF at 100 pieces, and 60%+ cheaper at 200 pieces. Send your quantity and design; we quote both methods so you can compare.

Turnaround

Standard: First-time Hollywood screen printing orders run 5–7 business days from proof approval (screen prep adds a day). Reorders on existing screens: 3–5 business days. Larger orders (200+): 7–10 business days.

Rush & same-day: True same-day is only possible on reorders where screens already exist and garments are stocked. Drop off (or call in) by noon and same-day pickup by 5:30 PM is realistic for reorders under 50 pieces. First-time screen printing orders always require overnight screen preparation — the fastest first-time turnaround is next-day pickup after morning artwork approval.

Delivery to Hollywood zip codes: Delivery to 33019, 33020, 33021 and 33024 is free on orders above 50 pieces. Order Process

How to Order Screen Printing in Hollywood

  1. 1

    Prepare Your Artwork

Preferred format: vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF) with each color on its own layer at the print size. Screen printing strongly prefers vector because it separates cleanly by color. If you only have PNG or JPG, we can usually work with it or recreate the logo in vector for a small art-prep fee.

  2. 2

    Get a Quote

Send your artwork, garment type and quantities, number of ink colors, and any deadline. We reply with a per-shirt price, blank garment options in your size range, screen setup costs, and honest turnaround. Quotes usually within one business day, often same-day. No charge, no obligation.

  3. 3

    Approve the Proof

Once you accept the quote, we send a digital mock-up showing your design on the garment. Approve it, request changes, or cancel — no payment until you're satisfied with the proof.

  4. 4

    Screen Setup & Production

After approval, we prepare one screen per color. Screens burn overnight; production runs the next day. Each garment loads onto the press, each color prints in sequence, and shirts cure on the conveyor dryer. Screens stored on file for 6 months.

  5. 5

    Pickup or Delivery to Hollywood

Pick up at 389 NE 2nd Ave (free, Monday–Friday 9:30 AM–5:30 PM, nine minutes from Hollywood), opt for local Hollywood delivery on orders above 50 pieces (free above 100), or ship US-wide. Delivery routes to 33019, 33020, 33021 and 33024 run twice a week; for time-sensitive Hollywood orders we can add an ad-hoc delivery on the way.
