Custom DTG Printing Serving Miami, FL
DTG (direct-to-garment) printing serves the Miami orders that live in the 1-to-20 piece range with full-color or photographic art: film and media production crew one-offs and department-specific shirts for shoots on location, Wynwood gallery event pieces where the artist's own artwork goes on 5–15 shirts for an opening, Brickell leadership and executive shirts where one shirt per person needs a photographic print, and South Beach bachelorette personalized tees where each shirt has a different name or photo. DTG wins on small quantities, full-color art, and rush turnaround.
Our shop is 25 minutes north on I-95 from Brickell, and we run daily delivery routes to Wynwood, Downtown, and Miami Beach for orders above a minimum threshold. For film production and event orders with tight deadlines, same-day and next-day turnaround is available on DTG.
What Is DTG Printing?
DTG (direct-to-garment) printing works like a high-precision inkjet printer for fabric. The garment is loaded flat onto a platen, and the print head passes over it depositing water-based inks directly into the fibers. No screens, no setup fees, no minimum quantities. Full-color photographic art prints in a single pass.
How the DTG Process Works
Garment pre-treated with bonding solution (required for dark garments, optional for white/light). Loaded flat onto platen. Print head passes over garment depositing water-based inks. Cured in heat press at ~330°F for 60 seconds. Ready to wear. No screens, no setup, no minimum. Full-color in one pass.
DTG vs Screen Printing
Screen printing wins on 25+ pieces of the same design, per-shirt cost at volume, and color intensity. DTG wins on 1–20 pieces, full-color/photographic art, and rush turnaround with no setup.
DTG vs DTF
DTF (direct-to-film) wins on dark garments, mixed fabric types, and orders that mix garment styles. DTG wins on cotton light garments with photographic art and true single-piece orders.
DTG vs Embroidery
Embroidery wins on polos, structured caps, jackets, and high-friction wear. DTG wins on t-shirts with photographic or full-color art where embroidery can't reproduce the detail.
DTG Printing for Miami Customers
Miami's creative and entertainment industries drive a steady stream of small-batch, high-detail DTG orders. Film and media production, Wynwood gallery events, South Beach hospitality, and Brickell corporate are the four categories that dominate our Miami DTG volume — all sharing the same profile: small quantities, full-color art, tight deadlines.
Film & Media Production Crew Shirts
Miami's active film and media production scene generates steady DTG volume: production crew shirts for shoots on location, department-specific tees for cast and crew tiers, wrap party gifts, and director/producer one-offs. DTG handles the small-batch, full-color, tight-deadline profile of film production better than any other method — no setup fees, no minimums, same-day turnaround available.
Wynwood Gallery Events & Artist Merch
Wynwood gallery openings, art fair activations at Wynwood Walls, and artist merchandise runs are natural DTG territory: the artist's own artwork goes on 5–20 shirts for an opening night, each shirt a wearable reproduction of the piece. DTG reproduces photographic and fine-art detail at a level screen printing can't match at small quantities.
Brickell Corporate & South Beach Hospitality
Brickell corporate leadership shirts — one shirt per executive with a photographic print or full-color brand graphic — and South Beach hospitality staff shirts where the venue's branded art needs to reproduce accurately on a small run. DTG handles both without minimums or setup fees.

What We Can DTG Print
DTG works best on 100% cotton and high-cotton-content blends (ringspun, tri-blend). Performance polyester and nylon are not ideal — use DTF instead. Best garments: t-shirts, long-sleeves, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags in cotton. Not ideal: structured caps (embroidery), nylon jackets (DTF), performance mesh (DTF), dark polyester (DTF).
Colors: Unlimited — full-color photographic art, gradients, and fine detail all print in a single pass. No color limits, no per-color pricing.
Print sizes: Full-front up to 12" · Full-back up to 14"×16" · Left-chest up to 4" · Oversized prints available on request.
White vs dark garments: White and light garments print directly. Dark garments require a white base layer (adds slight texture). For dark garments with photographic art, DTF often gives a cleaner result.
Pricing, Quantities & Turnaround for Miami
DTG has no setup fees and no minimum quantities. Per-shirt cost is higher than screen printing at volume but lower than screen printing under 12–15 pieces. At 1–5 shirts, DTG is typically the most cost-effective method. At 6–20 shirts, DTG and DTF are comparable. At 25+ shirts, screen printing usually wins on price.
Standard turnaround. 1–3 business days from artwork approval for most DTG orders. Same-day turnaround available for rush film production and event orders — drop off or approve artwork by noon, pickup by 5:30 PM.
Delivery to Miami. Daily delivery routes to Wynwood, Brickell, Downtown, and Miami Beach. For film production: delivery to the production base or specific location by appointment. For gallery events: delivery to the venue by appointment. Free pickup at 389 NE 2nd Ave, Monday–Friday 9:30 AM–5:30 PM.

DTG Printing in Miami — frequently asked questions
Can I print a single shirt with DTG?
Yes. One shirt or one thousand — same per-shirt price on quantities under 12. No setup fee, no minimum. DTG is specifically built for short runs and full-color designs where screen printing would be overkill.
How does DTG compare to screen printing?
DTG wins on quantities under about 24, full-color/photographic art, and speed. Screen printing wins on 25+ pieces of the same design, ultra-bright colors, and long-term wash durability. We recommend whichever method actually fits your order — not whichever is more expensive.
How does DTG pricing work per shirt?
DTG pricing is nearly linear per shirt — no setup fee, no color-count surcharge, only modest quantity discounts. Rough ranges on cotton tees: single shirt $18–$30, 5–10 shirts $15–$22 each, 20 shirts $13–$18, 50 shirts $11–$15. Above 50 shirts we usually recommend screen printing (30–50% cheaper on the same design).
How long do DTG prints last through washing?
30–50 wash cycles with proper care (inside-out, cold water, tumble-dry low, no ironing directly on the print). Slightly shorter lifespan than screen printing under identical wash conditions, but similar to DTF. Prints on dark garments (with white underbase) tend to hold up slightly less well than prints on light garments.
Can I get a DTG shirt printed same-day in Miami?
Yes, often. Drop off at 389 NE 2nd Ave by noon with print-ready artwork (300 dpi, transparent background preferred) and same-day pickup by 5:30 PM is realistic on standard cotton shirts, subject to garment availability and current queue. Call ahead if the deadline is tight — we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit your cutoff.
Can you handle personalized bar/bat mitzvah favors or memorial shirts in Miami?
Yes — both are core parts of our Miami DTG volume. Bar/bat mitzvah personalization (individual guest names on each shirt) and memorial shirts (photograph of the person being remembered in full color) run natively on DTG with no per-shirt personalization surcharge. Delivery to your Miami home or event venue by appointment. For time-sensitive orders (memorial services, event weekend deadlines), call rather than email — we'll confirm feasibility immediately.
